About Us Acquired via ETA in 2016, expanded through 12 add-ons, with more M&A on the horizon, The Wright Gardner is our crown jewel operating business. It is a steadily growing office plant services business serving commercial offices, campuses, and institutional clients across the Bay Area. We deliver a premium, detail-oriented service that blends logistics, horticulture, and customer experience with industry leading tech. Demand is strong, growth is accelerating, and the business is transitioning from founder-led execution to a scalable, professionally run operation. The Role We need a Strategic Operations & Growth Leader to work directly with the CEO to scale our office plant services business. This is a senior execution role for someone who thrives in operational environments — building systems, leading people, and driving growth without bureaucracy. Your mandate: help turn a fast-growing service business into a highly reliable, scalable operation while supporting expansion via M&A and organic growth with new customers, routes, and service offerings. This is not a desk-only role. You’ll spend time in the field, with crews, and inside the operation — then translate what you see into better systems, clearer accountability, and sustained growth. What You’ll Own Operations Leadership Own day-to-day operational performance: routing, scheduling, service quality, and job completion Improve field execution through better workflows, SOPs, and crew coordination Build operational dashboards and KPIs (routes, labor efficiency, service consistency, churn) Hire, train, and support frontline leaders and technicians Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and customer experience Growth Enablement Support customer growth by ensuring operations scale cleanly with new accounts Partner with leadership on pricing, service mix, and capacity planning Identify operational constraints that limit growth — and remove them Systems & Scale Help Implement our Gen3 AI-first toolsets and processes that reduce friction and increase reliability Standardize best practices across routes and teams Who You Are 3–7+ years experience in operations leadership, field services, logistics, facilities, or service businesses You’ve scaled real operations — routes, crews, schedules, customers Comfortable managing people and processes in the real world, not just spreadsheets Strong systems thinker who can simplify complexity Willing to get into the field, understand the work, and earn credibility Execution-first mindset: you fix things, not just talk about them Interested in long-term leadership and ownership-style responsibility Why This Role Is Rare Direct partnership with the CEO and CTO, who are 10 year ETA veterans in a growing operating business Real ownership over operations and growth outcomes Opportunity to shape how the business scales — systems, team, culture Clear path to GM / Operating Partner–level responsibility Stable, profitable service business with strong demand and upside Comp & Details Full-time, Bay Area–based Competitive salary + performance-based upside Mix of office, field, and customer-site time Long-term leadership opportunity as the business grows or in other portfolio companies To Apply Send your resume or LinkedIn profile to redacted Please include 3 short bullets on: An operation or team you’ve scaled or improved What you want to build or learn in your next role Why you’re a strong fit for leading and scaling a service business
