Position Overview: As the COO of AW Smith Plumbing & Heating, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational efficiency of our plumbing services. You will be responsible for leading a team of 11 full-time staff and 3 part-time staff, ensuring seamless coordination across all aspects of our plumbing operations. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership:Provide strategic direction and leadership to staff within the organisation. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity. Team Management:Oversee the day-to-day activities of 11 full-time and 3 part-time staff members. Foster a positive work environment and encourage professional development. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement streamlined processes. Collaborate with CEO and other departments to enhance overall company efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Quality Control:Maintain and uphold the company's commitment to delivering high-quality plumbing services. Implement measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Budget Oversight:Work closely with the CEO to estimate costs and be able to competently quote on jobs. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Business Development : Proven track record in business development and expanding market presence. Drive business development initiatives to expand the company's market presence. Directly working with the CEO on business strategy and development. Qualifications: Proven experience as a COO or in a senior leadership role within the plumbing industry. Strong understanding of plumbing operations and industry regulations. Demonstrated success in process optimisation and team management. Master plumbers license or at least 5 years experience as a plumber in New York Strategic thinker with the ability to work directly with CEO to drive business growth.
