What recommendations are there for most cost-effective ways to acquire lead leads? Specifically, I'm looking for B2B service businesses within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC. To date, most of my deal flow has come through local brokers, CPAs, and advisors I've connected with, but looking to step up my direct outreach.

Would love thoughts on the best service to use; if anyone has extra licenses and wants to share costs and/or sell me a list directly, I'm all ears!

Thanks,
Matt

A to Z database is often available to Alumni, or through Public libraries. You can geo fence an area and search by NAICS and many other filter options. Also, Google Maps will likely have every business with a website. All towns are zoned, and maps are available publicly. This makes it simple to focus Google Maps work to parts of a Zip Code with many businesses. You can scrap this data easily, but finding the name and website is usually enough. Just know that revenue data on private companies is very unreliable. So leave a large margin of error when filtering by revenue so you don't miss out of companies that are within your criteria.

For a DIY approach (good for very limited geo), try PPP data to ID targets by zip: https://www.searchfunder.com/post/ppp-data-useful-for-search-criteria-refinement

Spend time via LinkedIn / Google to ID owners, mutual connections. Ask for intros via people in community you know.
