Hi all, my name is Dan. I'm new to this site and the broader ETA community. Currently, I work as a Brand Manager for a large multi-national CPG firm. In my role, I set GTM strategy for a $300MM business, oversee a diverse team of direct and in-direct reports, manage the P&L, and am held accountable for top and bottom-line results. From what I understand about the ETA/operator opportunity, there is lots of overlap. However, I am curious if there are other CPG Brand Managers (current or former) on this site. And, if so, what their experience has been with ETA. Many thanks! Dan

Dan, As a former CPG industry veteran (Pepsi, Dean Foods) welcome to the ETA family. Much of your skill set is transferable. You will need to work well with people, be able to sell, sell, sell and install processes and systems. Most of all is to provide vision and accountability. This is much lacking in the privately held businesses. The hard part for you will be picking the business segment that you want to focus. In order to get in with brokers and build repour with sellers they need to believe that you have the skills to 1) get the deal done 2) be successful post close. Good luck with your journey. Reach out if you have specific questions.
