Hi everyone, I have excellent personal credit (mid 700s) but limited liquid cash for a 10–20% SBA equity injection. For those who’ve closed deals: what non-obvious but bank-acceptable strategies worked? Specifically curious about: • Seller notes counting toward equity • ROBS vs. personal loans • Investor structures that preserve operator control • What lenders actually approved vs rejected Looking for real examples, not theory.

Tony, thank you for the note. I would love to connect with you and go over the various equity options you have. We have done plenty of transactions with light borrower down payments and you can certainly use a seller note, ROBS, investors, a combination of those items to meet equity requirements.
