Can anyone recommend a good CRM package for a search fund? Features needed are database with customizable fields, ability to post docs (pdf, Word and Excel docs) and a view that integrates with outbound email campaigns. Salesforce and other common CRM packages have way more functionality than needed, and I'm wondering whether there is a simpler and lower cost alternative..

Hi, ^redacted‌ - I'm curious to know the results of your assessment. Please feel free to share that info here. There are a range of inexpensive and free CRMs that meet a range of uses cases. The simplest would be Mailchimp with some integration through Zapier. Next I'd suggest ZohoCRM. With these there is only a little room for expansion without investment in business workflow design and the paid service. If you are anchoring the search to a website (and I recommend that you do as it provides credibility) there is some web hosting and email integration effort required to ensure non-spam delivery and workflow automation. Good Hunting.
