Currently in the process of setting up my tech stack for a traditional search. I've been digging through old posts on here - Pipedrive and Hubspot seem to consistently be the most recommended CRMs by fellow searchers.

While there are a lot of posts with people suggesting to use one over the other, I cannot find much that suggests WHY one is preferred over the other.

So the question remains, for those that chose one over the other, what are the pros and cons when comparing these two CRMs, specifically when it relates to tracking deal flow in a prop search?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hubspot is cheaper at first and then becomes expensive as you scale, it as WAY more customization, not as much as SalesForce but pretty close.
Pipedrive is a bit more in the beginning but doesnt jump as much as you scale and doesnt have many customizations which keeps it simple.
If you are VERY technical, consider HubSpot, if you want quick and clean, go PipeDrive.

To add to the confusion, we've used Monday.com for several years. It's flexible, easily tailored, and has automations to trigger follow-ups, etc. Shopped SalesForce seriously about 18 months ago but learned it's not only pricey, but customizing work flow requires additional 3rd party costs. We're glad we didn't switch - avoided a big disruption.
