I'm gearing up to spend hours pulling down data from Orbis and before I did, wanted to crowdsource whether there are additional fields I should be grabbing so I can try to avoid doing it all over again in a few days. I'm using Orbis focused on US (TX) market and here's what I'm pulling: - Company name - Incorporation year - Last year updated in database - Location info (address, city, state, zip, latitude, longitude, etc.) - Contact info - phone, website, email (these are mostly null) - NAICS 2022 codes - primary & secondary - Operating revenue (turnover) - (all the other financial fields I was pulling were null) - Number of employees###-###-#### & 2023 (mixed quality) - Beneficial ownership - status & name (mostly null) Any other fields pop to mind that would be useful for proprietary outreach?

I personally think NAICS codes are an antiquated way to bucket companies; better to use AI to make sure a company is a perfect fit for what you’re looking for.

In case you expand your search method beyond Orbis in the future I would also have a slot for: -org type (LLC, C-Corp etc) -info source (in case you use other sources or get referrals in the future) -SIC Code -Tax Profit -Owner Compensation -EBITDA -Franchise? -Valuation estimate -Last date you contacted them -Your Notes In my experience, it is better to have empty fields in your database than wish you had them later. You may also want to fill in the empty fields as you call and talk to the targets. Make it useful for some analysis, not just a contact database.
