by a searcher in Miami, FL, USA
We’re looking for an unpaid intern to help identify and evaluate small businesses that may be ready to sell. We’re especially interested in solid fundamentals, like manufacturing, waste management, storm remediation, or other service-based companies.
You’ll play a key role in sourcing opportunities, connecting with owners, and supporting early-stage deal work—helping move opportunities from initial curiosity to NDA/LOI stage.
What You’ll Do:
Find Targets: Research potential acquisition candidates and build lists with key info like company name, owner contacts, services offered, and social presence.
Outreach & Scheduling: Conduct multi-channel outreach (snail mail, email, phone, LinkedIn) and set up introductory calls with owners.
Manage Conversations: Keep notes organized, track next steps, and make sure owners are ready and excited to chat with our team.
Prepare Briefs: After calls, summarize what you learned in a simple one-page brief, including company overview, potential risks, and recommended next steps.
Learn Financial Basics: Gather basic financial data (like revenue and profit info) and help create simple summaries to support our deal evaluations.
CRM Skills: Maintain accurate records in our CRM so nothing falls through the cracks.
Who You Are:
Curious, organized, and detail-oriented.
Comfortable reaching out to business owners and asking questions.
Interested in learning how small business deals work—from initial outreach to early financial review.
Excited to be part of a team that moves fast and gets real-world experience.
Opportunity to become part of our team and advance quickly.
