Dental care role up in the uk

Lately, I’ve been deep in the weeds trying to source dental clinic acquisition opportunities as part of a broader roll-up strategy. One major challenge? Cold calling. Reaching out to dentists directly has proven tougher than expected. Many are busy practitioners, often skeptical of unsolicited offers, and gatekeepers can be hard to get past. Even when I do get a conversation started, building trust and moving toward serious deal discussions takes time—sometimes months. For those of you who’ve done this—especially in healthcare or dental—what’s worked for you? Have you had more success through brokers, referrals, LinkedIn, direct mail, or another channel entirely? I’d love to hear your thoughts. How would you go about finding the best deals in this space?

Your best bet is to partner with a dentist and have them make the calls; another strategy that I've heard people use is to Fedex a package marked confidential to the doctor; if you have already acquired offices leverage the doctor and staff of those offices to develop other contacts; not sure if they do this in the UK, here in the US most state dental societies have regular study club meetings and they are always looking for sponsors and speakers ... just a few thoughts after having been in the space for over 25 years on both buy and sell side

I dont think cold calling in healthcare for prospecting works. I have rolled up 9 till date and majority of them where through broker referrals, study clubs acquaintances, industry conferences, etc. Happy to chat via a call if you want to find out more. +###-###-####
