Howdy, I have recently acquired a glass business with a fleet of 20 vehicles. The operations are old school and our dispatch team consists of 4 folks who are using pen and paper, boards and radios to dispatch and schedule the fleet. I had product demos with Glazier software, Field Edge, and Jobber. Also trying a free demo of crew control. I'm looking to talk to folks who have implemented a transition like this and what software they ultimately chose. Stories of the good, bad and ugly are always welcome

I used to work for a fleet management company. Some good solutions out there. Most of the vendors you mentioned are smaller and less expensive. If you stay small (sub 50 vehicles), all of the solutions you mentioned are good. What is important is to understand your tech stack, where the data will be stored and how the data will be tracked (vehicle GPS, mobile phone, etc.). If you will be growing the asset quickly through acquisitions or otherwise, you may want to look into ServiceNow. Staff adoption sounds like it will be an issue, so you'll want to ensure the system is very automated.

Cameron, congrats on your acquisition. A field service management software with fleet management, dispatch, jobs etc. Something else to add to the tech stack would be a software that have capabilities of marketing and sales automations; handling calls, text, text/emails follow ups/campaigns, scheduling, reminders, AI appointment setting, getting more Google reviews and more. Can share it with if you want to connect and discuss.
