Distance Purchase
Would love to hear some stories of purchasing a business that is more than 5 hour drive from where you live. I cannot relocate but my location has limited options of businesses available.

I think it depends heavily on the type of business - a pure "local" services business likely requires more in person than a business that operates primarily online. It also depends on how much you can be onsite despite not living there - renting a low-cost apartment in the area and staying there 1-2 weeks/month could work.

Time to move is really the best answer--especially for a first time buyer. Think of it like a long distance romantic relationship. Works for a few (maybe?), and that's about it. Best thing is to be local and boots on the ground!!
