Does anyone have an idea how much axial or preqin costs?

I suspect that they're more than what I need. But I'd be curious if anyone has some insight. Or other suggestions.

Joshua, you can sign up for free on interexo.com . We aggregate almost all available deals and also have intermediaries there too posting deals. It is a good chance you can find the same deals on our site. We never ask for any referral or transaction fees. Only fee we charge is a monthly subscription free (which we have a month free trial) or pay as you go. We actually created our site because we wanted to level the playing field for all since axial fees were too high. They have actually lowered their fees by much after we created our site. Let me know if you have any questions.

I don't use Axial but spoke with them recently to find out this exact question. Axial is free to use however, they charge a fee if you execute a deal that was sent to you through the network. Brokers will send out deals through the network and if you end up closing on one of the deals that were sent to you through Axial, they charge a fee. The fee structure is: 5% of the first $1mm of the transaction consideration, 4% of the next $1mm, 3% of the next $1mm, 2% of the next $1mm and 1% of the total transaction consideration in excess of $4mm.
