Does anyone have any experience with working with or becoming an SBIC?

I am looking to connect with anyone who has worked with or taken steps to become a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) - this is a privately owned and operated company that makes long-term investments in small businesses and is licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA or Administration). An SBIC has access to financing (leverage) provided by SBA.
