Does anyone have any experience working with Generational Equity? I have seen a couple of listings I have been interested in, but have gotten some very mixed results. One associate told me they prefer to work with VCs/ PE firms and don't like working with searchers and a handful of times I have gotten no response after completing their NDA. Wondering if it is just me.

^redacted‌, I haven't heard of any success stories, but I have come in after a client was engaged with them and cleaned up the mess and restored the seller's confidence in the brokerage industry. The concerns from their former clients were 1) hefty up-front fees, $40K, and then little effort made to sell the business, and 2) multiple calls to their office staff regarding the sale of the business when the staff was not aware. This disclosure cost the business several key employees who left once they knew the business was for sale. My impression is they are after the up-front fee and whatever happens afterward is of far less concern.

Agree with ^redacted‌, GE is very hit or miss. I think some (maybe all?) of them operate as independent affiliates so their M.Os are all over the place depending on the individual and the deal. I've had some where brokers are very prompt in communicating and others who just never respond at all. I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater, but don't take it personally. I've had more responsive engagement on deals sub $1mm in earnings.
