I have narrowed in on an opportunity in the healthcare space and am looking for a doctor to partner with to run practices similar to med spas. Does anyone have advice or input on where to find doctors looking for practices or possible partnerships?

Interesting. My partner (doc) and I recently completed acquisitions of a day spa and med aesthetics practice to roll into a complete medical spa + rejuvenation business in SoCal. Would love to know what you're working on or how you're envisioning the opportunity.

I'd reiterate the medical/dental lawyers/advisors space if they have close contacts who could introduce you. Otherwise, potential partner networks (plastics, pain, obgyn, ortho who may be open to a leap). Any of those partners would be best identified depending on the services you're seeking to provide. I think medspa means a great deal of things to different people, so if you've an idea / clarifying information on that, could narrow this down.

Having a good vision/idea of how you'd like to operate those medspas and the involvement of the doctor is useful, too.
I know practices with a ton of services and multiple locations as well as niche medspas that focus on one thing where they're equally successful.

I’ve done this a lot in the dental space myself. If you don’t have an existing relationship, I’d say it’s best in this order: 1) talk to your medical/dental lawyer, they should have a rolodex of doctors who you could partner with, my absolute favorite. If your lawyer doesn’t have this, get a new lawyer as the one you have isn’t connected enough to the industry 2) job postings - literally post a job on indeed/LinkedIn/Craigslist 3) industry conferences / networking 4) direct outreach to medical practices you are targeting in your area. 5) bankers who are very active in this space may have leads
