Has anyone been involved in a roll up of plumbing contractors? I am interested in how the business are valued (EBITDA, sales, other) and what if any red flags I should be on the lookout for. Would appreciate any pointers or insights as I consider valuation and perform due diligence.

Sal - would definitely be interested in discussing. I've reviewed many plumbing/HVAC both with buyers being industry experts & newer entry into the industry. I often will connect potential buyers to prior customers that have worked with me on completing there acquisitions. I've found that buyers can get not only my review from a bank perspective but can get insight from someone that recently went through the process and transitioned into ownership (both in sense of redflags that they now have more information on). Please let me know if you would like to connect redacted

Hi Sal. Live Oak Bank has a service trades vertical which includes HVAC and plumbing and electrical. The biggest area for Live Oak is service and maintenance is the preference VS new construction. Happy to connect you with our experts. Email at redacted if you’d like.
