Does anyone have experience in the Roof maintenance space ?

Hi Everyone,

I am slowly closing in on a small roof maitenance business (LOI stage currently and looking good) in France currently (~650k EBITDA, 50% recurring).
I am after some expertise in this particular sector, and still be interesting to hear your thoughts on related industries (cladding, waterproofing).

1) Would anyone have any expertise in the field ?
2) Things to look out for ? Main risks involved ?
3) Any other type of advice ?

Fais attention a la meteo. Pay attention to seasonality - in the US a lot of roofers make the majority of their revenue in 4-6 months or they'll highly dependent on storms, so you need to look at the P&L by month for a couple years to make sure you can service the debt. I'd also be cautious of relationship concentration - similar to customer concentration - if you have a handful of insurance agents or referral sources feeding you jobs, you want to make sure you'll be able to maintain those. Otherwise roofing is very profitable and a solid industry to grow with. Bon courage Clement!
