Im looking to build a small, but well laid out, 600 sqft 2 bedroom one bathroom unit. Once I build that unit I am going to attach more units to it. Does anyone have any experience in this industry, and if so, would it be better to build or to buy. Normally it would always be cheaper to buy but I havent found anything as small as I want it with as many beds, and I dont think it would be smart to overpay when I think I could build it for <100,000.

We do investment property financing as well as business acquisition financing, and have done financing for properties with Section 8 tenants. The costs to build right now are really high unless you plan to do it all yourself. Most people will buy an existing building that already has multiple units and then rehab the units. Usually that is cheaper than building from the ground up. But it really all about your preference. Happy to discussion options at redacted
