I'm looking for an equity investor to help close an electrical contracting acquisition near Atlanta, Georgia. I need between $300K and $400K to bridge the down payment gap alongside SBA financing.
The Business:
This company has been operating since 1977 — nearly 50 years in the same market. This is not a one-truck shop. The company runs between###-###-#### electricians, has 5+ project managers, and an business management layer. What sets them apart is a genuine industrial automation specialty. That capability puts them in a different tier from most commercial electrical contractors and creates meaningful barriers to competition in the industrial segment.
Financial Highlights (ranges for confidentiality):
Revenue: $5-10M
SDE: $1-2M
Real estate included
Target aquisition price: $5-6M
Where Things Stand:
This deal is pre-LOI. I know that is a sticking point for many investors and I understand why. That said, I have built a strong relationship with the seller, who is motivated to find the right buyer, and I am confident in the path forward. What I need at this stage is a soft commitment letter from an equity investor to demonstrate seriousness as I advance toward LOI and lender discussions. This letter would be heavily contingent upon successful diligence (no formal capital commitment until both of us are satisfied with what we find).
My Operating Partner:
I am partnering with a family friend who is a licensed non-restricted electrical contractor in Georgia and South Carolina, a former IBEW Journeyman Wireman, and an active technical committee member for both Underwriters Laboratories and the NFPA. He brings over 40 years of hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. His involvement directly addresses one of the biggest risks in buying a specialty trade business, we have genuine technical depth on the operator side from day one.
What I Am Looking For:
Investors willing to issue a soft letter of interest so we can advance to formal diligence. My strategy for this deal is hold and grow, so a 5-7 year sale is not part of my goals. Alternatives and details can be discussed. If you have experience with trade service businesses, SBA deals, or electrical/mechanical contracting, I would love to connect.
Feel free to dm me if interested.
