Employer-backed searcher visiting the U.S. — worth a coffee?

Hi all — I’m a Chile-based operator (15+ years in commercial leadership, including roles at Nestlé and Thule, and most recently CCO/CMO of a ~$25M consumer retail business) and I’m currently launching a search fund focused on acquiring and operating a business in Chile (primarily consumer and services, ~$2–5M EBITDA). I’m pursuing a somewhat hybrid approach — I’ve structured an arrangement with my current employers, who are backing the search as anchor investors while I transition, allowing me to begin building pipeline and refining my thesis ahead of going fully dedicated. I’m now entering the formal search phase.
