Position Overview We are seeking driven and intellectually curious Sector Heads to lead coverage in Oil & Gas and Industrials. Sector Heads are responsible for managing a team of analysts, overseeing research output, and contributing actionable insights that inform investment decisions across the GDS Investment Fund. This role blends leadership, in-depth research, and cross-functional collaboration with the fund’s trading and portfolio teams. Responsibilities - Lead equity research coverage of companies in either the Oil & Gas or Industrials sector - Guide analysts in developing investment theses, financial models, and institutional-grade reports - Track industry trends, macroeconomic drivers, and regulatory developments relevant to your sector - Review and refine analyst output to ensure accuracy, clarity, and strategic value - Collaborate with trading and portfolio teams to ensure sector recommendations align with fund strategy - Mentor analysts and oversee onboarding, training, and performance - Present top ideas and sector outlooks to the Investment Committee and leadership team What You’ll Gain - Leadership experience managing a sector-focused research team - Deep expertise in either energy markets or industrials and capital goods - Exposure to real-time investment decision-making and fund operations - Cross-functional collaboration with investment professionals and peers - Development of technical, strategic, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications - Undergraduate student with a graduation date of June 2027 or earlier - Strong interest in financial markets and sector specialization - Experience with financial modeling and equity research preferred - Familiarity with key drivers in either oil & gas or industrials sectors - Strong leadership, writing, and editing skills - Organized, proactive, and comfortable in a deadline-driven environment
