Position Overview
We are seeking driven and intellectually curious Sector Heads to lead coverage in Oil & Gas and Industrials. Sector Heads are responsible for managing a team of analysts, overseeing research output, and contributing actionable insights that inform investment decisions across the GDS Investment Fund. This role blends leadership, in-depth research, and cross-functional collaboration with the fund’s trading and portfolio teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead equity research coverage of companies in either the Oil & Gas or Industrials sector
- Guide analysts in developing investment theses, financial models, and institutional-grade reports
- Track industry trends, macroeconomic drivers, and regulatory developments relevant to your sector
- Review and refine analyst output to ensure accuracy, clarity, and strategic value
- Collaborate with trading and portfolio teams to ensure sector recommendations align with fund strategy
- Mentor analysts and oversee onboarding, training, and performance
- Present top ideas and sector outlooks to the Investment Committee and leadership team

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong leadership, writing, and editing skills
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable in a deadline-driven environment
