Does anyone have examples of a searcher's 1-pager or website that they think is particularly good?

My sense is that the most important information for brokers is:

1. Search criteria: geography, industry, size, company characteristics
2. Principal's skills, experience, expertise
3. Financing strategy, plus any other proof you can get the deal done
4. Contact info

Anything else important to convey?

Happy to share my current draft with anyone who wants to see. DM me.

If you want to see A LOT of examples, check out the websites of all the traditional search fund investors. They will often list the search fund teams there and link to their websites. Here are three examples:

- https://www.relayinvestments.com/portfolio (under "active search funds")
-https://wscandcompany.com/portfolio/ (under "current search funds')

I kept my website simple, but if you're interested here's mine as an example too: https://www.balancecapital.net/

I think it was worthwhile - as it only took me 1 day to spin it up and gives at least 1 proofpoint to brokers that you're taking the search seriously and aren't just a tire kicker

I don't have a sample for you but my opinion on the top things that brokers care about are:

1) Do you have committed capital or a prequal/letter of support?
2) What management experience do you have? (an MBA doesn't count)
3) Company characteristics

You could add an 'about me' section at the bottom to personalize it a bit and stand out, but you want to get the important information across first. You can provide stories or experiences on working in your target industry or any other 'social proof' about you intent to join the industry such as industry organizations you joined, previous experience, etc.

I would also just comment on the fact that you can make a go/no go decision in 48 hours and will provide feedback on why its a fit or not a fit.
