Operations & Technology Intern Summer 2026 (Bay Area, 10 weeks)

by a searcher from Virginia Commonwealth University in San Francisco, CA, USA
Recent acquisition of a large 25+ year-old event and party rental company in Sunnyvale, CA, and I'm spending this first year building out the operating and technology backbone of the business. I'm looking for a local graduate student to join us for 10 weeks this summer to help do exactly that.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to see ETA up close working directly with the owner during the first operating year, not from the sidelines. You'll get into the real work: documenting and standardizing processes, improving how we use our rental and dispatch software, digging into operational data, and helping stand up the systems a newly-acquired small business needs to grow.
Ideal fit is a grad student: MBA, operations, analytics, or similar at a local Bay Area school who's comfortable rolling up their sleeves, curious about small-business operations, and energized by the build-it-from-scratch nature of a recent acquisition. You should be genuinely tech-savvy and excited about modern tooling comfortable wiring up integrations between systems, automating manual workflows, and putting AI to practical use to make a small business run smarter.
On-site in Sunnyvale preferred.
