Ex-CRE Developer & Broker Searching for Service Business in Colorado

Hi everyone. I’m Andrew, living down in Castle Rock, Colorado, just south of Denver. I’m joining the group because I’m officially moving into acquisition entrepreneurship and looking to buy my first business.
My background is almost entirely in commercial real estate. I spent 14 years as a retail leasing broker across the Front Range (Denver down to Pueblo) and handled over 6 million square feet of listings at one point. After that, I co-founded a development company where we did single-tenant deals across six states. Most recently, I’ve been doing BD and partnerships for a commercial roofing brokerage.
While that career has been great for learning deal structures and market analysis, it’s missing one big thing: ownership. I’ve spent a long time helping other people build their portfolios, and now I’m ready to own and operate my own thing.
I’m looking for a solid, cash-flowing company that I can run myself. My criteria are pretty straightforward. I want something "boring" in the best way possible—recession-resistant, essential services, and something that isn't going to be replaced by a software update tomorrow. Ideally, it’s a lean operation without a massive headcount. I’m based in Colorado and would love to stay close, but I’m willing to look elsewhere for the right fit.
I’m still in the early stages of the search, so I’m here to learn from those of you further along. If anyone wants to talk shop or needs a hand with anything commercial real estate related, I’m always happy to help.
Best,
Andrew
