Experience buying or operating laundromats?

Hi everyone - I've been looking at semi-passive acquisition options and came across laundromats. I've thought for a while that this is potentially an interesting idea but would love to speak with people who have either acquired or operated laundromats in the past. Interesting business, for sure. I've looked into a few laundromats across a few areas and found them to be quite different. In my closest metro, San Antonio, there is one huge company that owns about 60 locations. They offer a pretty good customer experience and they seem to have made it difficult for other businesses to carve out their niche. I've also watched for listings in Dallas and Houston and those metros seem to have a lot more diversification in ownership.
