Hi all! Physician by background. I’m in the process of launching a new two-sided marketplace in the healthcare space. We’re preparing for a soft launch in a major U.S. city this fall and would love to learn from those of you who have experience building, investing in, or advising marketplaces. Specifically, I’m hoping to tap into your expertise around: Common early pitfalls marketplaces face (tech, operations, legal, etc.) Best ways to balance supply and demand as we grow each side Key metrics to track in the first 3–6 months to guide decisions Lessons learned around trust, retention, and pricing strategy When and how to know it's time to expand to the next market We’re bootstrapped for now and focused on meaningful traction over vanity metrics.
