Experience with Hiring Remote Dispatcher

I've recently closed on an acquisition of a residential HVAC service and installation business and am curious if anyone with experience in home services has tried hiring remote positions for dispatchers and/or customer service representatives. We currently have a very light office meaning dispatch and CSR basically fall to the owner (me) or one other manager. I think the job could probably be done remotely with a competent hire, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen this done in practice or has tips on where to find this kind of remote talent. Thanks!

We have hired several using WehireFast.com and have been very happy with our placements. They mostly source from LATAM and all our placements are excellent English speakers and are very well educated. We did the annual membership there and got our moneys worth in the first hire! You could probably hire someone that could do VA/CSR/dispatch work in one of volume would allow for it. Greg - a few questions for you to consider while making this decision: 1. Do I want to have an in-office culture or am I open to a remote culture? 2. What is the profile of the person that I hire for a remote role that will ensure they are self-sufficient in their job? Question one focuses on your philosophical to leadership and culture development within your company. Question two ensures you have clarity on the type of person you're hiring for. We made two acquisitions in this space last year. Given my background in tech, I made the incorrect assumption that remote work would be an easy adaptation and seen as a benefit to our office staff. I didn't take into account the pre-existing office culture that was developed over the preceding eight years of their operations and ultimately led to me removing remote work and bringing everyone back into the office. Happy to continue this conversation to strategize if you see fit.
