I am currently under LOI with a commercial building automation and energy management contractor.

For those new to the industry like me, think of it like a hybrid HVAC / electrical company, working with controls instead of mechanical.

They provide integration and management of HVAC systems, lighting, access controls, energy efficiency, remote diagnostic, monitoring, etc. among other services for commercial buildings.

Does anyone have any experience investing in / operating in this niche?

Would love to compare notes on the biggest risks / growth opportunities in the business, esp. for any searchers who might have acquired in this niche. Thanks!

No direct experience, but I know there are some big players on the supplier and manufacturing side (Siemens, Honeywell, JC). Could take a look at some of their public materials to get a sense.

I have some experience in this niche, specifically related to HVAC and refrigeration controllers. What questions do you have? I would be happy to chat.
