I'm actively looking into pool service rollup in Southern California or Las Vegas and want to ensure I’m building something with a strong exit possibility in 5+ years. Looking for insight on the following:

-The market for selling a scaled pool service business -Typical multiples at different EBITDA thresholds -What private equity and strategic buyers look for in this space
If you're in the pool service industry, private equity, or have experience with roll-ups, I’d love to connect and hear your insights. Appreciate any input or connections—thanks in advance

^redacted‌ - we own Yummy Pools in the South East and acquiring all across the sunbelt coast to coast.

- stay clear of unions
- focus on recurring maintenance and service & repair. Pool construction trades for 1x
- largely residential focused but some commercial is ok if the terms work. Some guys also sell chems
- convert as many customers to credit card pre pay vs cash
- when did rates get adjusted last?
- 12 month work geographies trade at a premium
