Just finished ^redacted‌'s Acquiring Minds podcast episode, Family Offices for Searchers: A Primer, with ^redacted‌ of family office Belzberg & Co. Searchers facing a capital raise should take a list, if you are interested in this finance model. My question... anyone find a good resource for finding Family Offices? Being able to search based on investment size, investment type, and industry type interests by family office would be great. I see there are several database and list aggregators but most are pretty costly, especially for the early stage I am at of hoping to build relationships as recommended in the podcast. Would love to hear what people are using and results. I did search the website and most questions like this are from 3-4 years ago, so dated replies.

Jeff, we have a proprietary internal family office database as well as access to some of the major databases out there. Just closed a funding round for a REIT this week with a family office trough our database. Happy to connect if we can be of help

There is a joke that if you have seen one family office, you have seen one family office. They are all so different. The key is to find the FOs that are staffed by professional investors which you might be able to see on LinkedIn. There has certainly been a blurring of the lines between GPs and LPs in the past 5 years as FOs look for more "direct" or one-off deals versus blind PE pools.
