Hi All, I see quite a few listings for FBA Amazon stores. Many of them are priced quite competitively. Is this a business worth acquiring? are there red flags in FBA stores that one should be aware of or should we avoid them altogether?

thanks

Vidhu

What are they offering you? An inimitable product that is doing well on Amazon? That might work, but take into account what others said here - Amazon can pull the rug from under you at any time. The Seller Central platform, compliance, account health, support - their tech and people are very difficult to deal with. Random compliance warnings, account freezes, cryptic messages with unclear instructions, and on top of it limited support of the worst kind. Read about sellers' experience on Reddit. Lots of red flags.
Also, if you are offered a shop with gimmicks and tons of customer reviews, beware that certain enterprising individuals pay people to order their merchandise to inflate reviews and sales, with a sole purpose to sell the shop. Can't trust their stats. Only go for a product you absolutely believe in.

Hi Vidhu, I actually own an FBA store, and the points mentioned here are very valid. One additional thing to keep in mind is dealing with Amazon's rules and regulations. They can cut off your store at any time with little explanation, which can be a serious risk for any business. If you do decide to acquire one, I highly recommend ensuring that someone with knowledge of Amazon's ecosystem stays on to run it. Having someone who understands the ins and outs of their platform can make a huge difference in navigating potential challenges. Best of luck with your decision!
