FocalPoint Coaching -- Franchisee -- Thoughts?

I have a friend who's close to signing on the dotted line & becoming a business coach franchisee with FocalPoint in 2025 (https://focalpointcoaching.com/).

She told me that it costs roughly $100K to get started as a FocalPoint business coach, and she would have to find all her own leads. Apparently, it's common for clients to pay $2-K per month, but she didn't mention how many clients are reasonable for her to serve at a given time (assuming she can find any!)

If she finds some early success, she said she'd bring me on as an 'Associate' to take on the additional clients she doesn't have capacity to serve, given my consulting background.

Who on Search Funder is familiar with this organization? And are there any red flags people have seen with the business coaching model as a franchisee in general? Perhaps there are some things I should be sure to ask her before offering to help her, or that I should encourage her to ask FocalPoint before she moves forward?

People who have what it takes to be a business coach are wasting $100,000 to be a coach. If you have a sellable product, use $100,000 to pitch it. I began my career for example and was immediately successful because I already had knowledge of various specialties that people would pay for, on coaching and consulting assignments. And think about: does the world need more coaches?
