About the Company
The company is a pre-seed software startup disrupting the disaster remediation industry with a cutting-edge AI estimation tool. The company is gearing up for a beta launch and is seeking an entrepreneurial CEO to spearhead growth and market penetration. The company is being incubated by a NYC-based venture that builds and invests in early-stage companies. It partners with entrepreneurs from the earliest stages to build breakout businesses at its Studio and invest in Pre-Seed to Series A opportunities from its Fund.
The Venture Studio’s in-house platform team spans product research, product design, software development, business development, acquisition marketing, brand marketing, legal, back office, and more.
The Position
The Founder/CEO will define the company’s strategic direction, lead the product to market and establish robust pathways for rapid business growth. This position is ideal for a resourceful and visionary leader with a startup mindset and the drive to innovate in technology-driven environments.
You’ll work closely with the team of experienced operators and executives to build the company and scale it with a signed corporate design partner. Work has already begun to establish and de-risk the product space and business strategy, however, this is only the earliest of stages and the Founder/CEO will take this from “0.5 to 1 and beyond” – leveraging people, playbooks, process and network. The Venture Studio will provide you with the initial capital to get going, hands-on support in the building process (discovery, UX, engineering, product, marketing, strategic corporate partners), and continued advice and guidance as you launch and scale the company.
The role can be remote, but a preference is for NYC. Some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct primary and secondary research on hypothesized innovation (software for restoration contractors)
Develop and implement strategic plans to enter and dominate the market
Forge strong relationships with key industry players, including potential clients and partners
Develop and execute on a business model, go-to-market strategy, and product roadmap for the hypothesized solution
Lead capital-raising efforts to support product development and market entry
Cultivate a vibrant company culture that attracts top talent and promotes rapid innovation
Design and execute marketing strategies to attract beta testers and subsequent users

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the AI industry and strong leadership skills. As CEO/founder, you will drive the company's vision, strategy, and overall operations, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of AI technology and solutions.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
5+ years of proven experience leading, project managing and building teams in a relevant business industry
An operator and executer who is highly motivated to wear many hats and scale a business from the ground up, from 0 to 1
Experience in product development, market introduction, and user acquisition strategies
Entrepreneurial track record with experience in startups or innovative tech environments
Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies, ideally with application in practical scenarios
Insight into the construction, insurance, or disaster remediation sectors
Demonstrated capability in fundraising and network building within the startup and venture ecosystem
Strong leadership and team-building skills, capable of motivating and guiding a diverse team
Strategic thinking with adept problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with the tech stack at industrial businesses is also a bonus

SALARY
Target annual base salary range: $125,000 + founder equity. Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. The salary reflected does not include equity, annual discretionary bonus, or other benefits offered by the Company, as applicable
