Free Info for Searchers in Minneapolis Meetup! September 29, 2026
Every Deal Looks Great in the CIM. The seller's job is to present the business in its best light — yours is to figure out what's actually true before you sign an LOI. Join Michael, Founder of Small Business Financial Intelligence (SBFI), for an afternoon built specifically for self-funded searchers and SBA-financed buyers. In about an hour, you'll learn the importance of how to spot the add-backs that inflate EBITDA, why cash flow — not EBITDA — is what actually services your debt, what a working capital peg really means (and how it can surprise you at closing), and how to size up customer concentration and growth assumptions before you're locked into a deal. You'll leave with a practical, 7-question checklist you can use on your very next deal. There will be a mixer for the in-person crowd after the Q&A. This workshop/gathering is designed to be an informational and interactive event where Searchers get valuable information regarding the financial aspects of their transaction and where you can ask general questions or about your specific transaction. It will last about an hour and 15 minutes with about 35 minutes of information presented, then the rest of the time spent on Q&A from the attendees. It is intended to be a time where knowledge is gained and networking takes place. Some Searcher Service Providers are also invited such as bankers and SBA specialists. A light lunch will be served to in-person attendees, but you are encouraged to brown bag it and join us virtually (redacted if you can't make it in person! THE EVENT WILL BE LIVE STREAMED AND RECORDED. There is room for 40 attendees in person, and unlimited virtual attendance is available.
