Dear community,

I am considering starting a solo-search in AUS and would like to connect with the Australian search community. As I am in the early stage of my decision making process, I would like to speak to a hand full of ex or current searchers to learn more about their experiences. I am particularly interested to chat with non-Australians who run / did run a search fund in Australia. If you are free for a 30 min chat this / next week, please hit me up or just drop a comment.

Furthermore, I will be in Melbourne most of April (and a few days in Sydney), happy to meet for a coffee / lunch or join an ETA focused event.

I look forward to having some interesting chats.

Best,
Daniel

Thanks everyone for commenting and willingness to help. Unfortunately, I could not talk to everyone, but I had really interesting conversations and learned a lot in the process.

I decided to park the idea of starting a search fund and will shift my focus on other opportunities. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn in case you want to discuss a similar idea or learn more about the reasons of my decision.

Piggybacking on this thread, I'll be visiting Sydney in the second half of May and interested to catch up with experienced searchers over a call/coffee, particularly those who have gone through 1+ acquisitions. Would like to talk through how you assess biz performance and drive growth in the metrics that formed the foundation of your valuation models.
