Have any active searchers who are using Grata and up for a renewal seen that Grata was acquired by Datasite? I am wondering if their searcher fees will go up.

Hi Grey, I've found Grata to be way overpriced for what it's offering. You can get 85% of the value at 20% of the cost just by using webscraping and automation tools. I use Clay => Apollo => Aplify => Google Sheets to generate and enrich leads. Then, you can do cold outbound via email, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The great thing about Clay is that you can enrich lead data à la carte instead of paying a high overhead. DM and I'll walk you through my set up if you're interested.

I couldn’t afford Grata as a searcher but use it in my corporate role. The acquisition is moreso to be benefit of corporate & strategic M&A teams because that is where the acquirer (Datasite) is focused. I expect the impact on searchers to be negative in two ways: 1) They may raise prices on searchers. Some companies do this post acquisition to intentionally churn their small,, low ACV users and focus their resources on enterprise users who pay more. 2) Their product roadmap will likely begin to lean more towards corporates and less toward searchers. I struggle to see how this is anything but bad news for us, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and observe for a few months.
