Curious about your experience starting a business brokerage franchise. Are the provided processes, software, and listing platform worth the 70-90k startup cost? What do you wish you knew before buying that you know now?

I know someone personally who went down the path of a business brokerage franchise. From working with him closely and what he said. Most know what they want to do by the time the non-compete ends. It was a great success, and the network built is another big upside!

I have. I bought into a business brokerage franchise and later sold it, so I’ve seen both sides of the equation. The systems, templates, CRM, and listing platform do help shorten the learning curve and provide a structured process early on, which is valuable if you’re new to the industry. That said, most of the actual success still comes down to sourcing deals and building a buyer network locally. The franchise tools are helpful, but they’re not magic. Looking back, what I wish I had understood earlier is that the real asset isn’t the brand or software, it’s your pipeline and relationships. If you can generate deal flow, the model works. If you can’t, it makes it that much harder.
