Has anyone else done Non Executive Director training? (United Kingdom)

Just finished some fantastic NED training at the IoD! It was a valuable refresher on what being a Non-Executive Director is all about – from understanding our duties and responsibilities to navigating board dynamics and building a truly effective board. If you're not already with the IoD, they've got some brilliant resources worth checking out. Has anyone else done this training? Keen to hear your thoughts or any other governance training you'd recommend!

Interestingly I see that many owners of SMEs with an "Owner investor" approach not being Director on paper of business leaving an Owner operator running the day to day business are easliy considered as Shadow Director or e facto Director. So better to be at the board as Chairman or NED than pretending not being in the board and having rliabilities anyway
