Has anyone sourced and closed deals for SMEs in Italy?
Hello everyone,
this is Francesco here. I am based in Milan, cofounder of built-to-last, a permanent holding company that acquires Italian family-owned SMEs facing generational transition.
Many of the founders we want to reach don't use brokers and rarely list their companies for sale. I'd love to hear from anyone who has sourced and closed deals in Italy: which channels worked (accountants and advisors, local banks, trade associations, direct outreach), how long the process took, and any surprises in due diligence, deal structure or earn-outs.
Happy to share what we learn in return.
Thanks
Francesco
