Echoing Edgar, it fully depends on the business owner I'd imagine. I can speak from the perspective of someone who does BD that reaching out via LI is paramount to building my pipeline. I'd say that the response rate is roughly 10%, and I'd jump that up to 15% of people who at the very least view my profile (which is enough of a reason for me to reach out and say hello if they do).
