Has anyone tried talking with business appraisers?

We've been talking with brokers, investment bankers, and the sellers themselves. Has anyone had any luck with building relationships with the business appraisers?

Never got further than making a list, but I think it could be a good idea for proprietary search. 2 sources for list building: https://www.appraisers.org/find-an-appraiser (has email addresses) and https://www.nacva.com/directory.asp (no email addresses)
