Has anyone worked with Regalis Capital or similar acquisition consultants?

I’ve been in discussion with a company called Regalis Capital. They claim to take a searcher through the full lifecycle of an SMB acquisition—from search to close—charging an upfront fee of over $10,000, plus a 5% success fee based on the final purchase price. When I asked for referrals, they firmly stated that they “do not provide referrals under any circumstances,” which struck me as a red flag. Their justification for the large upfront fee is that they have fixed overhead—but without any way to verify outcomes or speak with past clients, it raises the concern: what’s to stop them from collecting fees and disappearing? That said, their model seems unique—I haven’t found other firms offering exactly this type of hands-on, end-to-end consulting for solo searchers. Has anyone worked with Regalis or used a comparable firm? Would love to hear your experience or recommendations.

They said they don’t provide references, so I would disregard.
