We need to hire a mechanic, ideally an experienced one, to work on heavy construction equipment within the portfolio. Does this group have any good sources for this? Its a tough one for LI and headhunters. I've called around to the local votechs, etc, also without much luck.
If any here have some candidates, the ideals include:
- Located in/near Cleveland OH
- Experience with maintaining a variety of construction equipment
- Diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulics are likely requirements
- Should be coachable. We have an experienced team that is ready to coach someone new

Another fruitful option is to develop relationships with local trade schools in your areas. UTI and Lincoln Tech, etc. or even local vocational high schools. I have had success hiring apprentices/laborers through these channels and growing them internally.
The "A-tech" / lead-tech is becoming a a unicorn. If they do pop-up in the market, they command a premium rate. It's a long-term strategy, but internal development can be the way to go with this skillset
