Hiring an Executive Coach

A couple of my investors have thrown out the idea of hiring an executive coach especially through the first year. I am closing on the first deal of our platform and taking over in August and wanted to get thoughts here on what to look for, experience good/bad, and anything else as I look into hiring someone.
