Parkland Field is a search fund founded by Nick Seger (Kellogg '19) and based in Chicago. We're funded by over 15 seasoned entrepreneurs, executives, and investors. We seek to identify, acquire, and operate an existing private company with EBITDA between $1.0 - $5.0 million.
DESCRIPTION OF ASSOCIATE ROLE
The internship will involve a hands-on learning experience with many of the core activities involved with running a search fund.
- Directly manage the search fund's brokered deal process and pipeline. Includes CIM reviews and calls with both brokers and owner. (75%)
- Oversee and manage 1-2 undergraduate Analyst Interns. (10%)
- Research and identify attractive industries based on PF’s investment criteria. (10%)
- Mentorship from Nick Seger and weekly meetings to discuss projects. (5%)
Pay/Sponsorship: Unpaid or class credit for independent study. Hours per Week: 10 to 20 hours per week (flexible on which days you will be expected to work). Duration: 10 weeks. Location: Remote or in-person (willing to be flexible, however, in-person would be in Chicago).
START DATE SPRING 2020: March 31st, or after Spring Break.
START DATE SUMMER 2020: June 29, or after Graduation

1st and 2nd year MBA students at top-ranked institutions who are interested in pursuing their own search fund after graduation.
