Home Services Sector - Direct Mail

Does anyone have experience sending direct mail nowadays to reach out to business owners in the home services sector (HVAC, Plumbing, etc.)?

I would appreciate the feedback as well as tips on what works and what doesn't.

Does anyone have insides on the conversion rates in SW Florida in HVAC space? The area seems over saturated with small companies and mailers are everywhere.
