Does anyone have experience sending direct mail nowadays to reach out to business owners in the home services sector (HVAC, Plumbing, etc.)?

I would appreciate the feedback as well as tips on what works and what doesn't.

Direct Mail with hand written envelopes has done ok. I'm down in Virginia area targeting Virginia and North Carolina area. Of the 100 letters that I'll send, Ill get 2-3 responses. Its not great, but letters are easy. Cold Calls have been ok, but you have to stay on top of them. Don't expect them to return your calls or answer your voice messages. My personal experience. Other people may have better ones

We've found "hand addressed" letters have significantly better conversion rates. No surprise since they don't go directly to the trash bin. That said, more costly. We have limited side-by-side data due to seasonality but happy to chat if you want to send me a DM.
