Hi, I'm a searcher who's dialed in my industry and deal size and about to start looking in earnest.

I'm interested in understanding how you all have had success organizing interns once you turn on deal flow? Do they manage deals, initiate outreach, followup, etc. with sellers? Are they doing SWOT analysis or LBO calcs? Tell me like I'm a five year old what has and hasn't worked for you?

Or, is there a playbook, article, PDF, website, or similar somewhere that better describes best practices?

Thanks in advance and looking forward to the conversation!

I am also interested in learning about people's experiences as I am starting to recruit interns. I use Asana as well, used previously at corporate and found it easy to manoeuvre around. I am planning to use interns to bring them up to speed with valuations, due diligence, market research and menial tasks like building a website, linkedin page and branding material. The value proposition to them are experiencing working on a search fund to help them set up their own later on and introduce them to the community of other searchers, investors and to the rest of the ecosystem

I use Notion to create a company workspace. Generally, the amount of external facing work an intern would do depends on their skillset, my prior observations of their client interactions, the risk/sensitivity and timeliness of the communications, and if it is more gathering of info or delivering info. Good luck! Being a solid internship experience pays huge dividends in the future.
