How I'm building AI Agents for SMB Deal Sourcing - curious for input

I’ve been prototyping AI voice agents to help with outbound calls for both deal sourcing and sales prospecting. The goal is to create something that: - Sounds natural (not robotic) - Can open conversations with business owners or leads - Qualifies interest and passes off the good ones - Could help searchers and operators scale outreach faster than humans alone I’m early in testing and still shaping how it works. But one key piece I’m trying to dial in is: What are the right opening questions to get people talking without sounding like a pitch bot? I've seen people go with - “Are you the right person to speak with about the business?” - “Have you ever thought about what comes next for the company?” - “Is now a bad time?” I decided to go with a slightly different approach that I think feels way more human as you can see from the video. All you New Yorkers will probably get a good laugh with the accent I decided to go with. https://www.loom.com/share/60e94687166a434288b4565b700412bd I’d love your input: If you’ve done cold outreach, what question gets the best engagement on the phone? What would turn you off if you got a call from a voice assistant? If you were training an AI caller for your team or search what tone, phrasing, or first sentence would you use? Just building in public and learning as I go. If you’re exploring AI for your own sourcing or operations, let’s jam. 👇 Drop your thoughts or favorite cold call openers. I’d love to test a few in the agent.

Just my own $.02: If I received a call like this, I would hang up as soon as I realized it was a bot. There are far too many scams and the time wasters out there. I wouldn't take the time to figure out if this one was legitimate or not. It's an interesting concept, but I suspect it would struggle to deliver real-world results.

^redacted‌ - I applaud you for taking the time to develop this idea and even more credit for sharing it. I'll weigh in from a CMO's (and broker's) perspective. I believe AI technology is headed where Cold Email was 5-7 years ago - it's going to be ubiquitious, but it's much more invasive than email and likely has a shorter shelf life. I'm not a fan of using technology in this fashion for that reason.
