How often do searchers implement a value creation plan (of sorts)?

How often do searchers shift up the operational structure of a company post-acquisition (e.g., possibly as part of a value creation plan done before the deal)? And are there common "playbook" plays that are common to do, or is it ad-hoc by business model & industry?

Full disclosure, we have a tech-enabled VA service for searchers (like for sourcing targets), and are thinking about if we can offer BPO-related services post-acquisition also :)

I'm assuming this also might differ a lot based on company size - would have to imagine that traditional searchers have more of this than self-funded acquisitions
